You are hereby summoned to attend the next meeting of Roughton Parish Council, which will be held on Thursday 25th May commencing at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall on Main Street, Roughton. The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda.
There will be a 15 minute public forum between 7.35 and 7.50 pm when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council, and your attendance is also requested during this period.

1. Election of Chair of the Parish Council and signing of Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
2. Election of Vice Chair of the Parish Council
3. To resolve to suspend the meeting to allow a period of public paticipation for up to 15 minutes.
4. Chairman’s remarks
5. Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given
6. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any requests for dispensations.
7. Notes of the meetings held on 16th March 2023 and 20th April 2023 to be approved as minutes.
8. To receive a written or oral reports from Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council
9. Financial matters:
a. Bank balances and signing of statements
b. Retrospective and current payments to be approved
c. Bank signatory paperwork update
d. To approve the asset register.
e. To receive the internal auditor’s statement and approve any actions to be taken.
f. To consider and approve the Annual Governance Statement 2022-23
g. To consider and approve the Accounting Statement 2022-23
h. To consider and approve the Certificate of Exemption 2022-23
i. To note and approve the publication of documents and exercise of public rights from 5th June to 14th July 2023 on the parish council’s website and noticeboards.
10. Planning Matters:
Applications received: S/141/00835/23 120 HORNCASTLE ROAD, ROUGHTON MOOR, WOODHALL SPA, LN10 6UX - Planning Permission - Erection of 4 no. dwellings.
11. To consider and resolve further action on traffic management issues
• Community Speed Watch group
• Update from Highways visit and representations from Thornton residents
12. To consider and approve a budget to purchase a laptop for the Clerk.
13. To approve any training courses.
14. To approve the delayed signing of any Declarations of Acceptance of Office in accordance with S.83 (4) Local Government Act 1972 (if required).
15. To approve the dates for parish council meetings through the civic year – Thursday 20th July 2023, 21st September 2023, 16th November 2023, 18th January 2024, 21st March 2024 and 16th May 2024.
